More specifically Lake Stevens and Everett
May 14th ~ 28th, 2011
We only left the states 2 months ago but it feels so good to be 'home'.
Free internet and parking!
(unless B&B decide to send us a bill)
It was a great non-stop flight ~ Paris to Seattle. But it was
L O N G, cramped and delayed. Brian stayed up late to meet
our flight. We didn't care to see another plane for a few weeks.
But this plane was a welcome sight!
...As was Carrie's pot roast, smashed potatoes,
fresh rolls and blackberry jam.

We detoured from our European travel to welcome an adorable grandson...
...but he was shy and overdue.

So we played the waiting game with Brian and his girls, Britni,
Dalia and Tesila. We were also able to spend some quality
time with Linc, Carrie, Matt, Scott, Luke and Maggie.

Fortunately our visit to the northwest coincided with a road trip from
Sam, Jamie, Tom, Shalaun, Emeline and Audrey.
Lane and I even hosted a mini-grandkids night.
Not mini - 'tiny bodies all', but mini - 'only 8 of 30 g'kids'.
The four couples went out to dinner and a movie,
so we did dinner and a movie, kickin' it kid-style.
Corndogs, mac'n'cheese, lemonade, popcorn and ice cream.

Enthralled with Disney's "Tangled".
The next morning the hospital called Britni with
the news that they now had time to induce her.
Would she like to come to the hospital NOW?
Hummmm...okay.
Tesila and I were so happy!

The girls waited up hoping to meet their little brother.

We just call him Rock.
His sisters call him Rock Star!
This amazingly handsome and pleasant little
person was worth the wait. So sweet and lovable.
We are blessed to become grandparents all over again.
Each time is precious and wonderful!
Thank you Britni and Brian for letting us come
invade your space. You are doing a marvelous work!

We enjoyed our 2 week vacation from our vacation.
Here is Lane. Can you say techno-geek?
Britni bundled up 3 day old Rock for his first short outing...
Dalia's preschool graduation party.
Dalia's preschool graduation party.
Linc and Carrie tipped us off to a family friendly Mexican restaurant.
Good food, drinks with lids, space for all and crayons!
The monkey on Matthew's shirt wants in on some of this action...
We then began our goodbyes prior to our LDS mission to the Philippines.
Goodbye Lincoln and Carrie and cute kids (Matthew, Scott, Luke, Maggie).
One last hug for G'pa Lane.
Goodbye Brian, Britni and family (Dalia, Tesila, Rock).
AND we are taking off again to see the UK.
AND anticipating a spectacular week with
Jerry and Erin in wild and crazy Spain.
