July 2015

This month has been most notable because we did not go anywhere!

Just call us homebodies!

My poolside breakfast of raisin oatmeal with a side of LDS General Conference.

Our apartment complex has a racquetball court.  We love it!
Except when I lose badly, then one of us acts childish.
I am not proud of this.
Here we are ready to jump into the pool to cool down.

We hosted a picnic at the lake on the 4th for every member of our
family who could attend.  The participants are pictured below.  TWO!!

Our one bedroom apartment is just right for us.

The study extends the space considerably.
No cramping of our style (what there is of it).

                                         The new medical accounting office.

And the mini-blinds I ordered.  They came with FREE installation, by me.
I'm very pleased with my work.

I love teaching these kids in primary class.

It was fun to break out the crochet hook and complete a few quick projects.
These flip-flops are for Violet and Sophie.

And this elephant is for Jami.

She can choose white or black pin-head eyes.
Lane liked this yoda quote so I used it to create a poster for the office.

There, I think that was a rather quiet month.  Just the two of us.

Lovin' life.

June 2014

June holds wonderful memories.

These photos are evidence of a few.

I flew 'home' to SLC and stayed with the Gerbers
while we waited for the arrival of Sophie.

We visited Wheeler Farm; feeding the ducks,
picnicking, and playing on the playground.

Callie has a vision of a pink dresser.

and more painting indoors...

Back yard tea party with these beauties!

 Finished just in time!

CONGRATULATIONS Rayson & Callie - she is perfect.
Oh, and Callie delivered her own baby 20 minutes before her midwife arrived.

15 days late...sooo worth it!
 ...and then there were THREE!!!
 SOPHIE MAY

 4 generations
Cottam - Creek  -  Adams - Gerber
(Creek  -  Howell - Gerber  -  ???    )

We decorate to celebrate little sister's arrival.

This precious g'daughter cracks me up.

I get brave and sew a blessing dress.

Raylie has some great gifts for her 'daddy's day'.

And Lane emails me this photo from Miami.

Time for winding down the vacation.
The good-byes begin with Callie.

A dinner with Bullocks and X (and visiting Corbitts)

I spend one night with my mother dear.

Before landing back in Miami where we are
loving our one bedroom apartment.
Here is the view from the study.

What the weather lacks in variety is made up for in
our beautiful palms and year round flowers.

This Southern Florida adventure may last 3 to 5 years.
Yippy!

Move to MIAMI

Quick!  Let's move to Miami.

May 11th - Lane flew to Miami to explore a new opportunity.
May 13th - Lane calls Carolyn about moving to Miami in the next few weeks.
(Here's where Carolyn vacations w/ Britni for 8 days & Lane visits Linc)
May 23rd - Rent the moving truck.
May 24th - Search online for an apartment.
May 26th - Load truck over the weekend and drive away.
May 30th - arrive in Miami
May 31st - Unload into our apartment.

Good bye San Moritz 2 bedroom apartment

This place had a huge kitchen
(and even more drawers than our Trimble Creek home).

A little nitch for sewing/crafts/gift wrapping

We won't miss the 43 step 3rd floor walk-up.
We'll be too busy missing these fun g'kids...
and grown kids...
(Tom doesn't have to look so happy.)
...more great family that we already miss.
Making our way east across the plain states
before turning southeast (and breaking the trailer hitch - "Carolyn").
A stop in Georgia for a years supply of pecans.
Only 8 more hours...
The final gas stop before dropping the trailer off at Home Depot.
We get a sneak peek at our new 'home'.
One day later...
Always toting around too much stuff.
Heat country!
Perfectly located across from the pool.
I love it!
quickly settled in

June 3rd - Carolyn flys back to Utah for Callie's baby watch.
(Bless her heart for waiting.  She's one week overdue.)

What a crazy 3 weeks!!!
(And there is more where that came from.)
