Lane’s passport has expired. So today we went to Walmart studios for new passport photos. I think the government may not only issue us new passports but they may actually pay us to leave! Being semi-retired we wore ourselves out traveling the country this past summer (a few photos to follow). Then we decided it might be better if we could give volunteer service for a non-profit group. So, we submitted an application to spend two years giving Christian sevice for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We will use the Walmart pictures to renew our passports, attach to our mission application, and share with our family.
[November 15th we received notice that the LDS Church actually will accept our service. We have been asked to volunteer in their New York Office of Public and International Affairs. What a sweet assignment!]
