A Time to Listen...

religion correspondent - when we took
time to eat at a lunch meeting mid-January
and later introduced her to Ahmad.
He asked us to join him for her recital
at historic Steinway Hall last Sunday.
She is intelligent, beautiful and talented.)

A Time to Laugh...

Ahmad caught us taking time to practice
and suggested we go back to playing
our harmonicas. For the upcoming
Harlem Ward talent show we are going to
play "Name That Tune" on them,
the harmonicas.)

A Time to Pose...

(At the 22 story Flatiron Building, built in 1902.
It sits where Broadway intersects the intersection
of 5th Ave. and 23rd St. - 6 ft wide at this end.
We headed outside for an office errand and
some good city air. The subway spit us out
downtown and we shivered as we waited for
traffic to clear. This picture is a sample of
what can happen when you take time to
look up and around. We almost missed it.)

A Time to Exit...

(World Hindi Day - Dinner and reception
at the Consul General of India. But first,
2 hours of famous storytellers. We sat in
rapt attention, finally it was time to begin,
not one word in english.
We were hungry, but not that hungry!)

A Time to Stroll...

(Central Park Mall is barren but still
picturesque in winter. Carolyn plans to
take time to photograph this spot
conveying all 4 seasons in 2008,
if it ever snows)

57 miles of paths within 843 wonderful acres!!!

Join us for a stroll into Central Park (a favorite of Carolyn’s).

Today we walked the inner loop...about 6 miles. To do this

you have to avoid the temptation to take an easier route

- no pedi-cab, carriage ride, bicycle or roller blades -

simply a steady walk.
We pass Tavern on the Green, softball fields, the Carrousel,

Umpire Rock, Wollman Rink, the Pond, the Dairy,

Chess and Checkers House, the Arsenal, the Zoo,

tennis courts, the Great Lawn, the Boathouse,

Naumburg Bandshell, Bellvedere Castle,

rowboats for rent, the Reservoir, Sheep Meadow,

32 playgrounds, 36 bridges and arches,
and dozen’s of hot dog & ice cream vendors.

especially good at it. People the world over are laughing

If you get the chance to come visit New York we recommend walking the Brooklyn Bridge. We’ve done it several times. Midday in the heat of summer...twilight on a cool Autumn evening...each memory distinct and clearly defined. Your motivation...legendary Grimaldi’s Pizzeria awaits you under the Bridge in Brooklyn.

Seating is so tight we made friends with our table mates...

A very cute young married couple, Taiwan and Sharese.

Last month we began inspecting apartments of the young missionaries. What a delight to start the day checking for “space invaders” & encouraging these incredible young people.
