10-Sea to Sea (New England)

Week 10
Days 64 to 70 of a 100 day
mega road trip across Canada
New England and more

Day 64 ~ Sept 29th
Church in Bangor Maine.

Leaf-peeping in New Hampshire.

Keeping it plain and simple.

Day 65 ~ Sept 30th
Leaf-peeping in Vermont, etc. etc. etc.

Mighty fine day!
Day 66 ~ Oct 1st
Palmyra - Church History Sites

Grandin Print Shop

Upstairs in replica of Smith log house - Moroni visited in this space.

Palmyra Temple facing the Sacred Grove…and the Smith family farm.

Original hearth - Joseph first hid the gold plates under these bricks.

This is where a good camera, and Erin's talent would come
in handy.  I tried to capture both the temple and the sunset.

President and Sister Searle, our NYNYN Mission President, is currently director of Palmyra Church History Sites.  (They accommodated us overnight in the General Authority apartment at the Hill Cummorah Visitor Center!!!  How neat!)

We love them!  They will finish their 2 year assignment in January.
We've visited these sites twice before so this trip was focused on seeing them again.  Touring the sites hosted by their senior couples was a great bonus.

The Church of Jesus Christ is so cool!
God loves us so much.  Can you feel it?

We love you!

Day 67 ~ Oct 2nd
Niagara Falls
One last stroll around the Hill before driving to Niagara Falls.
A great start to an awesome day!

American Falls

 Really?
Our first time viewing the Falls from the Canadian side.  BREATHLESS!

Horseshoe Falls

Taken for Tesila Rose...

"What possibilities of will power and self-control appealed tremendously to my vivid imagination…until
finally my will and wish became identical.
They are so today, and in this lies the secret of
whatever success I have achieved…
my imaginings were equivalent to realities."
-Nikola Tesla 1915-

Keep your dreams alive!!!  Loves.
PS  Lastly, we drove to the Toronto metro area
to visit our niece Carmen Howell Pistritto.
(Then back to see the Falls under the lights.)

Day 68 ~ Oct 3rd
Can you name our 'mystery location'?
Several of you have visited this historic place with us.

Let us know if you need a hint…

Signing off from somewhere in the Buckeye State.

Day 69 ~ Oct 4th
Ta-dah!  We have arrived in Carmel, Indiana.
Maggie & friends!

Homemade pizza night...

"TV dinners"

Carrie's unforgettable cookies...

Some serious Dr Mario

The end to a perfect day!

Sweet dreams.  Zzzzz

(Yesterday's mystery location was Kirtland, Ohio,
in front of the 'NK Whitney and Co.' store)

Day 70 ~ Oct 5th
Conference Saturday - the plain and simple truth...

Prophets, puzzles, posterity and plentiful food!
Always a winning combination.  ;o}
