March 2021

3.28.2021

Good evening good and noble children,

Tonight we invited Lane’s siblings to a dinner party.  Here is who showed up.

Today was also my first day allowed back into the Branch at Sagewood Senior Living Center. (2 weeks post vaccine)
1)  I forgot about it being pre-general conference Fast & Testimony meeting.
2)  I learned a lot.
3)  Kean’s wife, Gwen, got her wish Christmas day 2020.  At age 90 she met her mother, who had died when Gwen was 3 months old.  He misses Gwen very much.
4)  Jim will be 99 in 2 weeks and hopes that God will still need him to run his errands.
5)  Barbara planned to just 'camp out' in her new ‘penthouse’ dwelling, stepping out frequently to visit her vast family.  The covid shut down occurred shortly after so she began making friends with her neighbors.  Each one amazing, with unique adventures and tales to share.
6)  Parked outside was a classic Karmann Ghia , license plate POWWWII  (what a tale to tell!)
7)  Melissa observed “This is just another chapter in our lives.  It is a hard chapter, but it is just another chapter.”
8)  one half of the congregation cannot walk down the hall to church without help.
9)  Alice shared “I haven’t met anyone here who wasn’t happy, who wasn’t kind, who wasn’t helpful.”  (May that be said about me!)
10)  Nelson’s family has been blessed by covid restructuring.  They fasted together for a premature granddaughter, for a grandson facing surgery, for another granddaughter pleading to become a mother, and for help with a 14year family history search.  Miracles happened.

What are you doing to enjoy whatever chapter you are living in?

This week:
April 1st  APRIL FOOL’s Day
April 3rd  Kaelyn begins the last year of her first decade, time flys.
April 3rd & 4th  General Conference weekend…here comes peace that passes all understanding
April 4th  Happy, happy Easter to all and to all a good life!

We love you forever!

Concerned Covid Countrymen,  Lend me your ear, give me your tired, your masks, your huddled masses yearning to dine out freely.

Can’t you just feel the pandemic slipping away?  My photo of the week is a small covid collage.

1)  Wednesday I spent hours scheduling a vaccination appointment in Woods Cross with a call center in the Philippines,
2)  Within minutes, Jerel gave me a coveted spot for the one and done Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
3)  I was vaccinated within 1/2 hour…along with Steph, Josh and Lincoln at the DayBreak UofU Health Center.
4)  Lane and Carrie, shot on Thursday.
5)  I drove my mother to Saratoga Springs on Friday for her part 2.
6)  See the pattern?
7)  Feel the freedom?
8)  Within a few months everyone who wants the vaccine with have the vaccine.
9)  It’s nearly spring.  A new beginning is beginning.
10)  Make sure you test positive for faith…and hope…and picnics.
