Day 71 ~ Oct 6th

Post LDS conference fun...

Don't let appearances fool you.

Looks can be deceiving.

This is one haunted house.

Carolyn won't even go upstairs.

Happy Autumn. Take care of all our little goblins.

Mmmmm, Banana Boats. These were actually Matthew's idea.

I told my brilliant grandchildren that if they didn't like the banana

boats that they could default to ice cream. 100% default.

I am too slow smart!

Palmyra - Church History Sites

Upstairs in replica of Smith log house - Moroni visited in this space.

Original hearth - Joseph first hid the gold plates under these bricks.

This is where a good camera, and Erin's talent would come

in handy. I tried to capture both the temple and the sunset.

President and Sister Searle, our NYNYN Mission President, is currently director of Palmyra Church History Sites. (They accommodated us overnight in the General Authority apartment at the Hill Cummorah Visitor Center!!! How neat!)

We love them! They will finish their 2 year assignment in January.
We've visited these sites twice before so this trip was focused on seeing them again. Touring the sites hosted by their senior couples was a great bonus.

The Church of Jesus Christ is so cool!
