Day 41 ~ Sept 6th
Banff
Box oven cake
Local scenery

First time we spotted flowers with bees disguised on them.

This is not our hotel.
The legendary "Banff Springs" had no vacancy.

So we stayed in a private 5-star accommodation down the road.

Only, tonight there are no stars.  Cooking
over a camp stove in the rain is not preferred.

Stay dry.
Appreciate the simple things in life.
Like chairs.  And umbrellas.  xoxo

Day 42 ~ Sept 7th
Calgary

Early this morning we noticed the rains had subsided.
Quickly we packed up the tent and drove away.
It was still dark and 48 degrees but it was NOT raining.

We are not in the Canadian Rockies anymore...
Temple Time - Calgary Alberta
(This beautiful new temple, dedicated last fall,
is gorgeous and NOT faced with cinderblock.)

To dry ourselves out we have moved on to the
town of Drumheller where we are fortunate
enough to have a room at the Super 8!

The desk ladies were so taken with Lane's wit and vinegar
that they upgraded us to the 'honeymoon suite'.
Who knew?  Very close to 5-star!
Chunky Campbell's soup is on the menu tonight.

Be kind and unwind.  xoxo

(Many of you have kids headed back to school or just starting.
Labor day has passed.  Fall is in the air.  Let us hear from you.
THANKS to those who have already responded re Thanksgiving.)

Next week: Can you spell
S-A-S-K-A-T-C-H-E-W-A-N ?
